Overview
My CGPA Calculator (https://mycgpacalculator.net) publishes free calculators, conversion tools, and educational articles about academic grading. Everything on this site is provided for general information and self-study. By using the site, you acknowledge the limits described here and in our Terms of Service.
Effective date: August 1, 2026. Last updated: September 11, 2026.
If you only remember one sentence: our numbers are estimates; your official transcript wins.
Not an official academic record
Output from our calculators is not a transcript, mark sheet, degree certificate, or university-approved GPA statement. We do not store your semester marks on our servers during normal calculator use, and we cannot print, attest, or email results to employers or embassies on your behalf.
Do not submit screenshots from My CGPA Calculator where a policy requires documents issued by your institution, examination board, or a recognised credential evaluation service (for example WES, IQAS, or similar bodies in your destination country). Forging or misrepresenting official documents is illegal in many jurisdictions; our tools are not intended to support that.
No affiliation with universities or boards
University names, logos, and abbreviations on My CGPA Calculator are used only to describe grading systems that students search for (for example “VTU CGPA calculator” or “Oxford degree classification”). Unless we explicitly state a formal partnership in writing, we are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting as an agent of any college, university, polytechnic, examination board, or government ministry.
If you are a rights holder and believe we have described your institution inaccurately or used a mark in a confusing way, please contact us. We correct factual errors and adjust wording when appropriate.
Accuracy, errors, and policy changes
We research publicly available grading scales, ordinance PDFs, student handbooks, and registrar FAQs. Despite care, mistakes happen: a faculty may switch from a 10-point to a 4-point scale, a conversion formula may update mid-year, or we may misread a table. Calculator logic can also round differently from your student portal.
We do not guarantee that any result is complete, current, or error-free. When our output disagrees with your official portal, trust the portal and ask your examinations office. Reporting discrepancies helps us improve pages for other students.
- Formulas labelled “illustrative” or “common formula” may not match your department.
- Honours classifications, class ranks, and probation rules often need human committees — not a spreadsheet.
- Retakes, grade forgiveness, and excluded courses are implemented differently across programmes.
Grading systems in different countries
Students use My CGPA Calculator from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Nigeria, the UAE, the UK, Europe, and elsewhere. Each system has local vocabulary: CGPA, SGPA, GWA, CPA, ECTS, UK honours bands, German numeric grades, and more. A tool tuned for one campus may mislead if applied blindly to another.
Always confirm scale (4.0, 5.0, 10.0), whether failed courses count in the average, and whether the institution reports percentage alongside grade points. Our country and university pages summarise typical practice; they are starting points, not legal advice about recognition abroad.
Scholarships, visas, jobs, and admissions
Scholarship committees, employers, and immigration officers apply their own rules. A “distinction” on our UK calculator page does not guarantee a visa points threshold. A projected CGPA does not promise admission to graduate school. Use our tools to plan — then verify requirements on official programme pages and with qualified advisers where the stakes are high.
We do not guarantee outcomes, funding, employment, or visa approval based on calculator use.
Not legal, immigration, financial, or medical advice
Content on My CGPA Calculator is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer, licensed immigration consultant, financial adviser, doctor, or therapist. We do not provide personalised counselling about academic misconduct, mental health crises, or disputes with faculty. If you need that help, contact your institution's student services or a qualified professional in your country.
How the site is funded
My CGPA Calculator is free for students. We do not run third-party advertising scripts on the site at launch. Hosting and development are covered by the team operating the project.
Editorial guides and calculator pages are written for education. We do not sell placement in our university directory as paid endorsements. If we ever publish sponsored content, we will label it clearly.

We link to official university sites, government pages, and reference material. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or security. Leaving https://mycgpacalculator.net via an external link is at your own risk.

- Compare common percentage-to-CGPA formulas your seniors mention.
- Share links with classmates and cite https://mycgpacalculator.net in blogs or study groups.
Please do not use our site to misrepresent grades to employers, cheat on assessments, or harass staff. See acceptable use in our Terms of Service.
Limitation of liability (summary)
