Why My CGPA Calculator exists
Result season is stressful enough without guessing whether your spreadsheet used the same grade boundaries as your examinations office. Students in Dhaka, Lahore, Chennai, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, London, and dozens of other cities all face the same boring problem: credits, grade points, retakes, and percentage forms that each want a different number.
My CGPA Calculator started when we could not find a calculator that (1) loaded the right scale for our own campuses, (2) worked on a phone without signing up, and (3) did not feel like it was harvesting our marks. So we built one and kept adding universities when classmates asked.
A short history
The first version was a single-page CGPA tool with a handful of Bangladesh and India scales. Traffic came from word of mouth — “use this before you argue with your friend about SGPA math.” We added Pakistan HEC tables, Malaysian IPTA scales, Philippines GWA, Nigerian 5.0 CGPA, UAE 4.0 GPA, and UK honours bands because those searches showed up in our inbox.
Today https://mycgpacalculator.net hosts a directory of named university calculators, conversion tools, guides, and country hubs. The product is still maintained by humans who read handbook PDFs and student emails — not by an anonymous content farm.
What you get here

- No paywall on basics — semester and cumulative calculations remain free.
Who we are — and who we are not
We are developers and former students, not a registrar's office. Listing “NUST,” “SRM,” “UTM,” or “Oxford” means we mapped a grading scale from public information — not that the university endorses this site.
We do not issue transcripts, stamp documents, or speak on behalf of HEC, UGC, AICTE, or any examination board. For official decisions, always use your institution's portal and signed records.
Privacy by design
We built calculators to run in JavaScript on your device because it is the simplest way to avoid building a database of student grades. We may see anonymous traffic statistics; we do not see your course list unless you paste it into an email to us. Read the details in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
How we pay for hosting
Servers, domains, and time cost money. The site launches without third-party advertising scripts. We will not sell personal data or charge students for basic CGPA calculations. If our funding model changes, we will update this page and our policies first.
Accuracy and corrections
Handbooks change quietly. A faculty might switch from ×9.5 to ×10 mid-batch. UK programmes weight final-year modules differently. We update tables when students send official links, PDFs, or portal screenshots we can verify.
Treat every result as a planning estimate. If My CGPA Calculator disagrees with your transcript, the transcript wins. Report errors through the contact page — include the university name, scale, and a link to the official grading document if you have it.
Editorial quality
We write original explanations on tool pages, country hubs, and university calculators. We do not auto-generate thousands of doorway pages with identical paragraphs and different school names. Pages we add are meant to help a real student searching for a real campus or formula.
