Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate CGPA at UniMAP?
Multiply each UniMAP course grade point by its credit hours, add the products, and divide by total credits. That weighted average is what appears on most Universiti Malaysia Perlis transcripts under Malaysian Public University Grading (IPTA 4.0).
How do I convert UniMAP CGPA to percentage?
IPTA students sometimes see PNGK × 25 quoted on informal checklists. Confirm with your faculty before internship or scholarship applications.
How do I combine semester GPAs into CGPA?
Weight each semester by its credit load: (SGPA₁ × credits₁ + SGPA₂ × credits₂ + …) ÷ total credits. CGPA mode on the calculator adds semester rows so you do not have to re-enter every subject.
What is the highest grade point on the UniMAP scale?
On Malaysian Public University Grading (IPTA 4.0), the ceiling is 4.00 quality points (A). Hitting that across every credit is rare — one failed lab can pull the average down until you clear it.

Who maintains this page?
My CGPA Calculator is run by students and alumni who got tired of generic CGPA widgets that ignore local scales. If you spot a wrong boundary for Universiti Malaysia Perlis, use the contact form with a link to the official handbook — we fix scales in batches.
