About the UCSI CGPA calculator
Private Malaysian university — CGPA typically on a 4.0 scale similar to IPTA. Pick your courses, enter credits, and let the table handle grade points — the same boundaries UCSI lists in its handbook. Need a different campus? Browse the country hub linked below for neighbouring universities.
Spotted a wrong boundary? Send us your handbook link or browse the Malaysia university hub.
How to use this calculator
- Start with the courses you are sure about; you can add or remove rows as you go.
- Double-check credit hours — a 2-credit lab and a 3-credit theory course should not be averaged like equal weights.
- The grading table on this page mirrors Malaysia IPTA. If a new handbook year changes boundaries, tell us via the contact form.
- Bookmark the page before exam season; it is faster than rebuilding the same spreadsheet every semester.
UCSI grading system
Malaysian Public University Grading (IPTA 4.0) is what UCSI prints on most transcripts. The top band is A (4.00 points). A fail (F) usually counts as zero quality points until you pass the retake.
The math behind semester GPA and cumulative CGPA is the same across most universities — see our CGPA formula guide for a worked example. For broader planning tips, read the complete CGPA guide on the homepage.
Percentage conversion
IPTA students sometimes see PNGK × 25 quoted on informal checklists. Confirm with your faculty before internship or scholarship applications.
