About the AIUB CGPA calculator

AIUB Dhaka — semester GPA and CGPA on UGC-aligned 4.0 points. If you study at AIUB, you already know how tedious it is to re-type every course into Excel before results drop — start here instead. When your official portal updates, compare side-by-side and trust the registrar if numbers differ.

How to use this calculator

  1. Start with the courses you are sure about; you can add or remove rows as you go.
  2. Double-check credit hours — a 2-credit lab and a 3-credit theory course should not be averaged like equal weights.
  3. The grading table on this page mirrors UGC Bangladesh. If a new handbook year changes boundaries, tell us via the contact form.
  4. Bookmark the page before exam season; it is faster than rebuilding the same spreadsheet every semester.

AIUB grading system

UGC Standard Grading System (Bangladesh) is what AIUB prints on most transcripts. The top band is A+ (4.00 points). A fail (F) usually counts as zero quality points until you pass the retake.

The math behind semester GPA and cumulative CGPA is the same across most universities — see our CGPA formula guide for a worked example. For broader planning tips, read the complete CGPA guide on the homepage.

Percentage conversion

Many colleges under UGC use CGPA × 25 only as an informal percentage guess. Scholarship offices sometimes publish their own table — ask before you submit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate CGPA at AIUB?
Multiply each AIUB course grade point by its credit hours, add the products, and divide by total credits. That weighted average is what appears on most American International University-Bangladesh transcripts under UGC Standard Grading System (Bangladesh).
How do I convert AIUB CGPA to percentage?
Many colleges under UGC use CGPA × 25 only as an informal percentage guess. Scholarship offices sometimes publish their own table — ask before you submit.
How do I combine semester GPAs into CGPA?
Weight each semester by its credit load: (SGPA₁ × credits₁ + SGPA₂ × credits₂ + …) ÷ total credits. CGPA mode on the calculator adds semester rows so you do not have to re-enter every subject.
What is the highest grade point on the AIUB scale?
On UGC Standard Grading System (Bangladesh), the ceiling is 4.00 quality points (A+). Hitting that across every credit is rare — one failed lab can pull the average down until you clear it.
Is this AIUB CGPA calculator free?
Yes. No account, no app install, and we do not upload your grades. Close the tab and the data is gone.
Who maintains this page?
My CGPA Calculator is run by students and alumni who got tired of generic CGPA widgets that ignore local scales. If you spot a wrong boundary for American International University-Bangladesh, use the contact form with a link to the official handbook — we fix scales in batches.
